Overview
Maamba is a rebuild engine for websites. You paste a URL and it captures the visual layer, rewrites the JavaScript and exports an editable static site you fully own.
The capture engine is written in Python. Scrapling and Playwright load a page the way a real browser does and pull out its visual layer, and a Next.js app wraps it with sign in through Google and GitHub, billing through Paystack and a Supabase backend. An MCP interface lets other tools drive it.
I used Maamba to convert the Nexusbert marketing site into a clean React and Vite project, which is a good test of how real world pages come out the other side.
The source code for this project is private.
