Overview
Sigma is a compiled programming language with a clean, unmistakable syntax. You print with yap, declare variables with a colon, write conditionals with $if and $el and call functions with .run. It compiles to optimized C, so it stays fast even on low end machines.
It ships as a single binary through the sig command, and a VS Code extension adds syntax highlighting and file icons. The compiler and runtime are written in C++.
You can try Sigma right here: the playground below runs a small Sigma interpreter in your browser.
Highlights
- •Dynamic typing with constants through $fixed.
- •Arrays, objects, loops, error handling and functions.
- •Compiles to optimized C for native speed.
